Aetna Announces 2025 Non-Commissionable Plans
From Aetna:
Aetna routinely reviews and updates our distribution strategy, including the commissionable status of our plan offerings. As a result, we have made a business decision to change certain plans in CA, CT, DC, FL, MD, NY, TX, UT, VA and WA to non-commissionable starting November 1, 2024.
What you need to know:
The below plans will become non-commissionable for applications with a signature date on and after November 1, 2024.
There is no impact to renewal compensation for renewing members in these plans.
If any of your current members enroll into a non-commissionable plan on or after November 1, you will remain the Agent of Record (AOR) and will continue to receive renewals. (Exception: If your client enrolls through another agent, you will lose AOR status and will not receive renewals. Review our AOR retention policy.)
2025 plans that will be non-commissionable effective November 1, 2024
Important: In some states, there are multiple contract-PBPs with the same plan name, that are available in different counties. Please see below for the exact contract-PBP/plan name/county combinations that are impacted. These contract-PBPs are changing to non-commissionable in all counties where they’re available. There is no impact to other plans.
